Thoughts on Creating was inspired by Rudolf Arnheim's words, "Thoughts need shape and shape must be derived from some medium.", the first line of Chapter 13 of his book Visual Thinking. The words lead me to think about “words” as a medium and “mediums” as a way to visually express words. The book incorporates fragmented hand-drawn Roman capitals that function first as integral elements of an abstract drawing, and also can be read, if desired.
